How to change from present to preterite(past) tense?

Except for the last sentence, these do not make sense in the preterite tense. The first three call for the imperfect, not the preterite, although the implication would be that I no longer turn in my homework every day, my family no longer surfs the web, and it is no longer important not to make mistakes, which may or may not make sense.
