I'm in love with my best friend and unsure about what to do. pleez answer ?

tomorrow is the last time i see him. then i've got winter break and i won't see him for another two weeks. i like him a lot.if i tell him my feelings i'll be afraid of his answer. i think he likes me back because he's really shy and won't talk much, but when i see him he's like another person he is happier around me. i love that! we hug alot which makes me feel better. but if he says he doesn't want to be with me then our friendship will be ruined. that happened b4 and i don't want it to happen again.so should i make a move or should i just keep it platonic. and don't tell me to say i love him because i don't have the guts. by the way, his ex is in 3 of my cles. and she is mean and crazy
