If you were born in a different time what band would you be a die hard fan of?

i was thinking...i think if i grew up in the 80's i would be a really die hard fan of U2. cus i really like U2 today but as watching some old u2 videos from when they first came out like "i will follow" and " two hearts beat as one" i got the same feeling like when i first saw MCR. like OMG that band is going to make it. (but then again u2 has made it, so has mcr but mcr hasn't stood the test of time like u2.) okay well back to my question (lol i got off topic)
